Her Father Ajoy Das (elder brother of Late Sukhen Das) was a Filmographer. Piya married with director Anup Sengupta. Bonny Sengupta is their son, who is also an Actor. She completed her schooling from Kamala Girls School, then Jogomaya Devi college, kolkata.
