Qahtaniyah (Arabic: القحطانية, also spelled Giruzer, Kar Izir) is Iraqi town about 100 km (62 mi) from Mosul and a few miles south of Sinjar.[1] It was one of two villages targeted in the 2007 Qahtaniya bombings against the local Yazidi community.[2]
