Rik Janssen
Rik Arend Janssen (born December 30, 1957 in Arnhem) is a Dutch politician and former businessman. As a member of the Socialist Party (Socialistische Partij) he was a temporary MP from January 11 till April 14, 2011, replacing Sadet Karabulut, who was on maternity leave. He focused on matters of security, judiciary, immigration and political asylum.[1] Since April 27, 2011 he has been a member of the States Deputed of the province of South Holland.
Janssen owned a horeca enterprise in Scheveningen. Because of an accident he got disabled and he had to abandon his business. In order to rehabilitate he studied law at the Open University in the Netherlands and obtained his LLM with Latin honors.
