Ross Kemp: Extreme World is a documentary series shown on Sky1. The show is hosted by actor Ross Kemp, best known for his role of Grant Mitchell in the show EastEnders.
Contents
Premise
On the show, Kemp travels around the world talking to people involved in illicit trades, locals who have been affected by violence and hardship, and the authorities who are attempting to combat the problems. In each episode he attempts to establish contacts within the groups in order to get close to the ringleaders.

Series 5 (2016)
It was confirmed back on 8 December 2015 via Ross Kemp's official twitter account that Extreme Worlds would return for a fifth series, filming began back in 2015 before having a 3 week christmas break filming restarted in January 2016.[2][3]
Extreme World took another break from filming in April 2016, due to Kemp filming for EastEnders. He returned to filming in May 2016 before taking another break to return to EastEnders once again for a three week stint. Kemp will go to and from Extreme World and EastEnders over the next year.
The fifth series is due to air round September 2016[4]
