Ruth Hamblin
Ruth Hamblin (born June 24, 1994) is a female Canadian basketball center for the Dallas Wings of the WNBA. She was drafted 18th overall by the Wings in the 2016 WNBA Draft. Born in Smithers, British Columbia, she played college basketball for Oregon State.[1]

In her sophomore year, 2013–14, Hamblin recorded a triple-double with 23 points, 12 rebounds and 10 blocks. This represented the first triple-double at Oregon State in 30 years. The 10 blocks is a school record.[2]
In her junior year, 2014–15, she averaged 3.8 blocks shots per game which was six best in the country among Division I schools. Her field-goal percentage of 58% was eighth best in the nation.[3]
As a senior, in 2015–16 she recorded 130 blocks which was second in the nation. She averaged 3.5 blocked shots per game which was fourth best in the nation.[3]

Professional career
Hamblin was chosen by the Dallas Wings in round 2 of the 2016 WNBA draft as the league's 18th overall pick.[4]
Wearing jersey number 44, Hamblin saw her first game action in the May 14, 2016 season opener for the Wings.[5] She recorded three rebounds in just over two minutes of game action, scoring one point in 1-for-2 shooting from the free throw line in a Wings road victory over the Indiana Fever.[5]
