Migration history
The largest wave of Salvadorans arrived in Mexico as refugees during the Salvadoran Civil War.
Demographics
According to data from the Salvadoran embassy and consulates in Mexico, there were 31,465 Salvadoran nationals in Mexico.[2] During the 2010 Census, there were more than 8,088 El Salvador-born individuals registered as living in Mexico.[3]
