Sleaford Mere Conservation Park is a protected area associated with Sleaford Mere, a permanent saline lake, located on the Jussieu Peninsula which is on the south eastern tip of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia about Lua error in Module:Convert at line 272: attempt to index local 'cat' (a nil value). south west of Port Lincoln. The conservation park which consists of the lake and a quantity of adjoining land, shares boundaries with the Lincoln National Park on its north and east sides along with a parcel of land to its immediate west. The conservation park was proclaimed in 1969 under the former National Parks and Wildlife Reserves Act 1891-1955, for the purpose of conserving ‘important lake feeding habitat for wader birds.’ It was re-proclaimed under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1972 in 1972. The conservation park is classified as an IUCN Category III protected area.^[2]^[3]^[4]
