Neha Kakkar is an Indian singer.[3] She competed on season 2 of the television reality show Indian Idol in 2006.[4] She also appeared in Comedy Circus Ke Taansen in 2014 on Sony TV. She had judged a singing reality show on Zee TV named Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs.[5]

In 2008, she launched her first album, Neha-The Rock Star, whose music was composed by Meet Bros.[6] Her other work includes the songs "Sunny Sunny", "Manali Trance", "Aao Raja" with singer Honey Singh, "Dhating Naach", "London Thumakda", "Hanju" with singer Meiyang Chang, and "Patt Lainge" with singer Gippy Grewal.[7]

Early life

Neha Kakkar's parents are Jai Narayan Kakkar and Niti Kakkar. She has a sister Sonu Kakkar who is a singer from whom she got inspiration to build up the career in the music industry. Neha Kakkar grew up in Delhi and studied at New Holy Public School. When she participated in Indian Idol Season 2, she was a student of class 11. Neha was so passionate about music from early childhood, when she was only four, started singing.

Career

After Indian Idol, she kicked off the journey in the music industry with the album ‘Neha The Rock Star’ composed by Meet Bros in 2008. In the modern era, she is the rising singer in the music industry of India. In 2013, Neha Kakkar gave her voice in the song ‘Dhating Naach’ for the movie ‘Phata Poster Nikhla Hero’. She gave her voice in the popular song ‘Sunny Sunny’ with Honey Sing in 2014 that conveyed huge fame for the singer. In the same year, Neha gave voice in the song ‘London Thumakda’. Then she gave the voice for the song ‘Party Shoes’ of the Kolkata’s movie ‘Bindas’.

Neha played her a stunning singing role in the song ‘Magic Mamoni’ of the Bengali movie where acted Mahiya Mahi. She showed her terrific singing performance in the song ‘Car Mein Music Baja’ that is a very popular song to the younger listeners where she performed as a model. Neha Kakkar played back in the ‘Dilwale’ movie song ‘Tukur Tukur’ that is super hit movie song. Then she gave voice in the song ‘Chitta Kukkad’ for the movie ‘Loveshhuda’. Neha made her stunning singing performance in the song ‘Kala Chashma’ for the movie’ Baar Baar Dekho’ in 2016 featuring Katrina Kaif for the song. She has established her name more widely in the Bollywood music industry within very short time. Now she is a powerful singer of the industry. Neha has been giving back to back super hit playback song since her career journey began.
