The Taymani are a Persian speaking Aymāq tribe in west central Afghanistan, related to Tajiks and Hazaras. However, some southern groups of Taymani have adopted Kandahari Pashtun language and culture.[1]
Taymani usually deny they are Aymaq and feel affinity with Pashtuns, although their Pashtun neighbors identify them as Aymaq.[2]
