Tennis or Tinnis was an ancient city in Egypt. Its modern territory is situated at Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found., on an island in Manzala Lake, southwest of Port Said.
Overview
The city was founded by migrants from Tanis, after whom the city was named. Tennis was an important port, exporting agricultural products of Egypt, particularly textiles, throughout the Middle East.
