Tim Lefebvre (born February 4, 1968)[1] is an American bass guitarist. Both as a session musician and a live band member, he has worked with a wide range of musicians, including David Bowie, Elvis Costello, Sting, Wayne Krantz, Patti Austin, John Mayer, Jovanotti, Chuck Loeb, Mark Guiliana, Jamie Cullum, and Chris Botti.[2][3] Also being a member of the Tedeschi Trucks Band,[4] he also performed on various film and television scores, including Ocean's Twelve, The Departed, Analyze That, The Sopranos and 30 Rock.[3][5]

Being described as a "musical linguist" by the Bass Musician magazine, Lefebvre is proficient in various music genres, including rock, jazz, fusion, electronica and R&B.[3]

Lefebvre played bass on Bowie's final studio album, Blackstar, released two days before Bowie's death in 2016.[4][6][7]
