Tom Davies (born 30 June 1998) is a English footballer who plays as a midfielder for Premier League club Everton. He is an academy graduate of the club and made his senior debut in April 2016, aged 17.

Club career
Everton
Having progressed through Everton's academy, Davies was rewarded with his first professional contract on 30 September 2015.[1] He was handed his Premier League debut by manager Roberto Martínez on 16 April 2016 in a 1–1 draw with Southampton at Goodison Park, entering the field of play as an 83rd-minute substitute for Darron Gibson.[2] Davies made his first start for Everton on the final day of the Premier League season in a 3-0 win over Norwich.[3]
International career
On 7 October 2015, Davies was invited by England manager Roy Hodgson to train with the senior squad following his progression with the under-17 side.[4] Just seven days later he was named captain of the England under-17 team for the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup which took place in Chile.[5]

Personal life
Davies is the nephew of former Everton player Alan Whittle who made 74 appearances for the club between 1967 and 1972.[7]
