truTV Top Funniest (formerly Top 20 Funniest until season 2 on April 2014) is a fast-paced caught-on-tape/hidden camera countdown show on truTV of the most outrageous, side splitting videos America has to offer.[1] It airs weekly on Tuesday at 9:30pm. It premiered on May 23, 2013.[2] 60 episodes have currently aired so far. Mocean Melvin was the show's narrator for the first 2 seasons. He was then replaced by Charlie Schlatter, a new narrator for its 3rd season.
In its inaugural season, each episode has a different theme such as "Fantastic Failures", "What Were They Thinking?", etc. Over 110 videos are showcased. But 20 of those videos are the ones that stand out the most.
For the 2nd season, the countdown was dropped and the videos in each episode are grouped into different categories seen on the right hand of the screen. The sidebar was discontinued on season 3 while keeping the same clip format as before from the previous season.
On March 12, 2015, truTV renewed the show for a third season of 22 half-hour episodes, which premiered on May 5, 2015.[3][4]
