W.Pudupatti is a panchayat town in Virudhunagar district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.Now Mrs.N.Pounthai is the president of Panchayat.She was elected on behalf of ADMK party.
Demographics
As of 2010[update] India census,[1] W.Pudupatti had a population of 14,846. Males constituted 48% of the population and females 52%. Majority of 40% population are Kshatriya Nayakars (Nayaka kings dynasty) and 55% are SC (Dailt & Devendra kula vellalar,Sakiliar) 5% are others Saliar,Chettiar,Asari etc. W.Pudupatti has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 60%: male literacy is 76%, and female literacy is 72%. Literacy of SC people are 84%(Dailts,Devendra Kula vellalar and Sakiliars). In W.Pudupatti, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
