Sous Lieutenant Yves Felix Barbaza was a World War I fighter ace, credited with five aerial victories.[1]

Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur
An officer of high morals and resolute bravery. He has rendered for two years innumerable services in army corps and pursuit aviation. After having executed numerous photographic missions, especially during the battle of Verdun he passed to an escadrille de chasse where he immediately asserted himself by his energy and high consciousness of devotion. Remarkable patrol leader who has numerous combats, often far behind German lines. On 15 September 1918, he flamed two balloons (3rd and 4th victories, three citations).
