Yvonne Magwas ( born in November 28, 1979 in Rodewisch in Eastern Germany (GDR)) - is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU).[1]

Education and profession

Yvonne Magwas grew up in the Vogtland in the cities of Falkenstein and Auerbach and finished in 1998 the local Goethe-Gymnasium with Abitur. From 1999, she studied sociology, psychology and business administration at the Technical University of Chemnitz. At that time she also founded a company to mediate qualified internships and to carry out investigations in the field of human resources and organizational development. She completed her studies in 2006 as a sociologist. From 2005 to 2013 she was chief de cabinet of Robert Hochbaum MP.

Party and political office

Yvonne Magwas joined Young Union (Junge Union) in 1998 and the CDU in 2001. From 2001 to 2006 she was district chairman of the Junge Union Vogtland, from 2003 to 2008 member of the board of the Young Union in Saxony. Since 2008 she is deputy district chair of the CDU Vogtland.

In the local elections in 2003, she was elected Councillor in Auerbach and district councillor in the Vogtland and practiced the two functions until 2009 or rather until 2005. In the general election in 2013 she was elected as a member of the German Bundestag – being on 12th position of CDU regional list. She is a full member of the Committee for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety and the Committee on Culture and Media. There she is rapporteur on rental policy, housing and urban development in the Committee on Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety. She is also member of the German Taiwanese friendship group in the German parliament. The federal government dispatched her to the Council for Radio and Broadcasting Association in Germany where she is also member of the Financial and Economic Committee.
