The rationality theorists can be mathematicians, philosophers, economists and psychologists. Despite their disparity of professional origins, they all are concerned with the explicit development of theories of rationality. The theories of rationality typically try to show how to achieve optimal solutions to problems relevant for the goals, preferences or happiness of the agents involved.
