Sobek was worshipped wherever the Nile was presenting difficulties. Sobek was the ancient Egyptian God of crocodiles and controlled the waters. Sobek’s role was to protect the pharaoh from evil but it differs with each person. He was the most popular god in Arsinoe (Crocodilopolis in Greek), and was considered the Lord of Faiyu.

To Sobek, lord of the waterways, I offer my praise.
Son of Neith, the land of the lake is yours, O Sobek,

sobek (also known as sebek, sebek-ra, sobeq, suchos, sobki, and soknopais) was the ancient god of the nile and crocodiles, some sects believed that sobek was the creator of the world who arose from the dark water and created the order in the universe.

No, cropped hair. She smells of hand cream made from plant extract and seems to slip seamlessly through the day, undisturbed by the latest shenanigans. A glimmer of danger glints in her eyes, teeth as white as bleached bone, reminding others of the well-known saying: never smile at a crocodile.
