James Yahui Zhou has served as our chairman and chief executive officer since July 2016. Mr. Zhou is the controlling shareholder of Kunlun Tech Co., Ltd., a global internet company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and had served as a director from April 2020 to May 2021, the chairman of the board from March 2011 to April 2020, and an executive director and general manager from March 2008 to March 2011 in Kunlun. Prior to that, he served as general manager of Beijing JiNaiTe Internet Technology Co., Ltd. from March 2007 to March 2008. From November 2005 to March 2007, Mr. Zhou was an executive officer in charge of new business development at RenRen Inc., a NYSE-listed company. From September 2000 to January 2004, Mr. Zhou was general manager of Beijing Huoshen Technology Co., Ltd. Mr. Zhou received his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and his master’s degree in optical engineering from Tsinghua University in 1999 and 2006, respectively.

Lin Song has served as co-CEO since August 2020. Previously, he served as Opera's chief operating officer and joined Opera in Oslo, Norway. Mr. Song has an engineering background and has served in various roles inside Opera, including project manager of one of our earliest initiatives to enable full web browsing on mobile devices and as director of engineering delivery. Later on, he served as general manager of Opera’s subsidiary in China and assisted in the establishment of Opera’s R&D center in Beijing. Mr. Song obtained a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of International Business and Economics in 2004.

Frode Jacobsen, Chief Financial Officer has served as the chief financial officer of our group since April 2016. Prior to becoming our chief financial officer, he has worked as the senior vice president responsible for strategic initiatives beginning in February 2015 and as the senior director for corporate development beginning in January 2013. Prior to joining our group, Mr. Jacobsen worked for McKinsey & Company, a management consulting firm which conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses to inform management decisions across the public and private sectors, beginning in August 2008 and served as engagement manager before he left the position in January 2013. He graduated with a master’s degree in management from HEC Paris in 2008 and obtained his bachelor‘s degree in economics and business administration from Norwegian School of Economics in 2006

Jørgen Arnesen, EVP Mobile joined Opera in 2009 and is currently leading mobile efforts and global marketing/distribution across products. Prior, Mr. Arnesen spent nearly five years at Google where he worked in sales and marketing roles from the US, Ireland and Norway. Mr. Arnesen obtained his bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of San Francisco.

Krystian Kolondra, EVP Browsers & European Fintech, has been at Opera since 2006. Initially, Mr. Kolondra focused on both desktop and mobile browsers and more recently became focused on Opera’s European Fintech efforts. Mr. Kolonda has experience in managing products used by hundreds of millions of users and large leading organizations. Prior to Opera, Mr. Kolondra was helping with Agile rollout in BenQ and holds a Master's degree in Computer Sciences from the University of Wrocław and has continued the education at the School of Banking in Wrocław and Saïd Business School of Oxford in project management and fintech.

Per Wetterdal, EVP Commercial has worked at Opera since 2007 and current responsibilities include global business development, strategic partnerships and advertising sales. Prior to Opera, he spent 7 years at Alcatel-Lucent in Business Development and as a Solution Architect and pre-Sales Engineer.  Before that, Per was a Sales Manager at InterScandinavia Telecom.
