in most fandoms there are fanfiction tropes like “sex pollen” or “aliens made them do it” but in dghda fandom there’s that thing where the writer clearly doesn’t have time / intention / sanity to go in depth into a case that’s happening in the background, so they allude to a series of unrelated verbing nouns with no context and you know full well the author has no idea they just pulled some words out but shhh just go with it ok it’s just happening?
