Irish Myths and Legends.

Ireland's long history is riddled with ancient mythology and folklore. Irelands ancient societies The Druids and The Celtics believed in the power of magic and many of these beliefs have spread to the modern day. Stories of great warriors giants and fairies playing pranks along with wee Leprechauns holding on to their pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Of course this all adds to the mysterious appeal of Ireland.

fear-gorta literally means "Man of hunger" this supernatural being roams the earth in the form of an emaciated man during the times of famine.He begs for food and bestows good fortune on those who help him.
far-darrig or fear dearg is a supernatural being that may or may not be a leprechaun W.B Yates describes it as "the creature always wears a red coat and cap"in Irish the name translates to red man thought to be associated with nightmares.He is a practical joker of monster delights.
cluricaun is an Irish Elf he takes the form of a tiny old man.He exists in a state of perpetual drunkenness and loves to play practical jokes.W.B Yates writes "some suppose he is merely the leprechaun on a spree".
