I love to make photo mosaics - in this one I am looking at textures and colours in a piece of work I stitched with a watery sea theme To make the fabrics look "watery" I used plastics and chiffons that reflect light, distressed the chiffons so they look like air bubbles and used different coloured layers for different depths of water. The frayed edges show water movement. I added seed stitches and fly stitches to resemble coral

I was really inspired by the inside of this blue bowl. It has gorgous colours and patterns. It inspired me to paint this piece of silk. I love to use silk, it has such a beautiful sheen to it I am working on the piece of silk adding machine embroidery, hand stitching and beads and hope to post a picture of the finished piece later today.
