Normally she prefers to make sticky rice in a steamer, but you can make it easily in your rice cooker! Regardless of how many cups of rice you’re making (as long as you’re not maxing out your rice cooker), you want to make sure that you presoak the rice and that you leave just enough water so the rice is only slightly covered! 

If you’re making savory dishes, usually that calls for drier, chewier sticky rice (i.e., less water), whereas for desserts you usually want a softer, wetter texture.
