Many of you asked me what I meant when I said I always add a selvedge stitch or two on a shaped edge where the pattern shows increases or decreases right on the edge. The selvedge is the part that’s hidden on the wrong side when your garment is seamed or stitches are picked up and knit for a button band. For this reel, I’ve used a full stitch selvedge on both swatches. On the first swatch, decreases are right on the very edge. For the second swatch, I’ve moved the decreases in 2 stitches from the edge. One of these stitches is a selvedge stitch, and the other is just because I like the way it looks ☺️ When I pick up stitches on the first swatch, the clean line of decreases is completely hidden and there is no real delineation between Knitting Borders, Knitting Videos Tutorials, Knitting Hacks, Knitting Help, Knitting Tips, Knitting Videos, Edge Stitch, Knit Picks, Stockinette Stitch
