A large amulet holder necklace from rural Turkey. Called a "muskalik" (correted: masura, hamayli) for the amulet box which opens to insert papers. Many dozens of discs imprinted with hands are attached to the necklace. With filigree, appliques, and a glass stone. Probably from Western Turkey from the late 19th century.
