The Trading Game is a fabulous way to teach place value to younger students. Rolling a dice, students add ones blocks to the units column of the Trading House, and then swap them for a 10 block when they reach it. Two dice can be used to accelerate the pace of the game, and it's a lot of fun when students play in pairs, competing.
