I’ve always dreamed of photographing sky lanterns since I first learned about the lantern festival in Chiang Mai, but I never imagined capturing a surprise proposal during one in Taiwan 🏮 it was truly magical, and I’m sure it was unforgettable for all of us—Daniel, Mel, Weiwei, and me—especially with everything that happened that day, from the unexpected moments to all the acting involved 🥹😂 congrats again, Daniel & Mel! so grateful for your trust in me to document this special moment…

This picture is from 3 years ago when my husband first proposed to me. There was a trail of signs in the park with short phrases on them with reasons why he loved me. The trail of signs led to this beautiful gazebo that he set up. It was the most romantic moment I could’ve ever imagined and I’ll forever cherish it. He covered this gazebo with Christmas string lights since I was a fan of a scene from twilight and put the lighted “marry me” letters in the back which he got from michaels.
