Samurai Sentai Shinkenger (侍戦隊シンケンジャー, Samurai Sentai Shinkenjā), is the 33rd Super Sentai series,which began airing on February 15, 2009. Using a feudal Japan motif, Shinkenger is a portmanteau of Shinken 真剣 (true sword) and Ranger. It joined Kamen Rider Decade on February 15, 2009, replacing Engine Sentai Go-Onger.
