I... | By Jan C's Designs | I was one of the lucky few to get one of the six-foot blow mold nutcracker from Walmart and this is the two-week progression of painting my nutcracker That's this is the legs. I'm painting the legs a red metallic paint. I will put all the paints that I used in the comments I love this metallic. It's so pretty. And then this is his body I painted it a red and then there's a real pretty green and did all the trim and gold It did take several coats of the red. The green was like two coats so it it covered pretty well. The legs are metallic black. I just like the shiny. And now we're starting on the arms. Mary Beth Wilhelm on Instagram: "VIRAL GIANT NUTCRACKER MAKEOVER NUMBER 2 IS COMPLETE AND HE IS ABSOLUTELY DRIPPIN ✨I didn’t paint at all. I just completely covered him in iridescent glitter and used mod podge to adhere it. Once it dried, I used @gliddenpaints Max Flex Clear top coat in semi gloss to seal the glitter but keep the shine. I added ivory faux fur to his mustache, beard, brows and hair and hot glued on some rope, fringe and tassels to his fit.
