Just finished our one-shot of the adventure in the Quickstart. I found that it ran incredibly well. For us, it hit the perfect mix of goofy, weird, and creepy. Players fell in love with the vibes and setting, and the mechanics were simple but fun. There were a couple of pain points, multiple rolls for Scars for example, but a lot of that seems to be improved upon in the preview for the full game. I'm excited to see how the final game runs and to get more information about the amazing setting.

Hello Karizma1, I’m sorry I missed the comment for some reason. Thank you for the feedback, that’s exciting! Have the PCs met the hitchhiker? BTW we’ve been updating the mechanics quite a bit, do you have access to the Reborn preview doc? (not sure which file/version you’ve snagged)

No worries! The PCs met the hitchhiker, and very cleverly deduced the backstory and his "weaknesses" without me having to directly tell them. I have the Feb 25th version of the preview doc but opted to go primarily off of the Quickstart Guide for this. We briefly looked over the doc post-session. Players particularly liked the changes to the Scars, which have more narrative consequences and is reduced to a single roll. The next time we play, I am going to run The Will of the Forest by M. Allen Hall (which I picked up at PAX Unplugged). If the players like, we will use the rules in the doc going forward. Thanks for the great game!

I’m glad you mention that about the Scars, one effort with this new version was to simplify the mechanics and weave them more into the setting. The Will of the Forest is awesome. Thanks for having shared your thoughts, that’s really cool.
