Thanks for the feedback! It's been years since I played it, let alone made it, so I'll have to dive back into it to check. Controlling the player path is always a fine balance between rigidity and openness.
For example, there is a way to try to return to the forest once the guards have left.
edit: just played it again and realised that forest thing was a bug and I patched it haha. Thanks for prompting me to play again. It's really reawakened my taste for developing and helped me see how far I've come.
Update, I made nine pages of compilations: https://itch.io/jam/nokiaartjam-2/topic/4698133/full-submission-collages

The full images are available on my website in full resolution here, alongside a zip of all the collected entries.
I've posted the image here on Bluesky and here on Instagram.
Feel free to repost the images, though I request you don't post it to X or Twitter - as of November, their terms allow X to train their AI on any image uploaded (violating the CC-BY-NC-SA license).
Enjoy, and thanks for your patience.

Yeah, the submissions were a nightmare last year because it was so unclear on how to do it. This year it'll just be a community thread on itch where people post their pics instead of the standard "submissions" thing. Much easier.
I'll include your image in the main body of the pages, it arrived just in time!
Thanks for the nudges so I could get this done. -PDX

I've added a section at the end for images I only have partial information for. You're currently in this section, but you might prefer that because it shows the image (though partially cropped) at a larger resolution. Let me know if you want this changed, but I need to release on Saturday as I've run out of time to do more work on this.
Yeah it's a nightmare. There's only so much I can do with ~400 entries, and the "insert your own" was my best solution. If you have another suggestion, or would like to volunteer to make the collage, I'm very open to labour contributions.
While I have you here, I tried to looking up your submission but I don't have it in my collection. There are a few that went through the gaps. Where did you submit?
SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN
Please submit your artwork here. It should be:
- 96 x 65 pixels
- 1:1 pixel ratio (not upscaled)
- True black (#000000) and true white (#FFFFFF)
- PNG format
- The theme is "What is James Bond playing (in the screen shot below)?". Feel free to be as silly or serious as you like with this theme. Look at his little face. Give him a nice game to play in the back of his mum's car as she drives him home from McDonalds.

Submission license agreement
When you submit to this art jam you allow me to use the image on social media / in a printed image/brochure as long as it appears with your username credited.
Nokia Art Jam image entries are submitted under the CC BY 4.0 license (which is similar to CC0, but any adaptations are required to give credit to the artists).

Enjoy!
It took me a few hours to download all 393 images and name them and sort and resize them. After collecting them all together I found there were just too many images to make into a magazine spread without missing some of them. So I've made a magazine page where artists can display their image for social media and portfolios. The above image's license is CC-BY-NC-SA which, in a nut shell, means you can modify it (put your art on it) and share it (like on social media) with attribution (it's already written on the image) for non-commercial purposes (you can't sell it).
Nokia Art Jam's new mascot is Nykkia the bomb cat *~(>:D)
The jam will return again this year, details to follow soon.
In other news, work is keeping me busy and my health is much improved. Keep pushing those pixels!

The license asks that users don't redistribute or rehost the files: this is because if people have to visit the page they may donate to the project. I appreciate your intent to redirect people to the project via the README, but realistically they are more likely to download the entire zip without reading the license or visiting the itch page, and can extract the font files relatively easily.
This also means that the file exists in isolation without bugfixes / updates to the license.
Sorry about this, you've clearly put in a lot of work to your editor and it'd be a shame if you isolated it. You should consider allowing people to drag in their own bitmap fonts, it would allow the editor to handle a wider variety of textmode fonts, most of which follow the same ASCII layout that I've used.
Thanks! This is not the first of this variation of this message we've received. The KS failed to fund because social media changed drastically for notifying our followers and there was no physical reward tier.
We're still looking for funding, but for now the project is on indefinite hiatus.

Hi Nokia Art Jam 2 Jammers,
It's been over six months since the jam, and you may notice that the final collage page still hasn't come out.
Unfortunately this year has been very challenging for my health and freelance career, and I've not had the time for most of my extra curricular activities. I wasn't expecting 154 entries, some with up to five images, in so many different formats (zipped, jpegs, pngs, included as screenshots, etc) and it makes even collecting and tagging the images a monumental task.
I've got sketches of the final page. I recognise it is important to some artists as a piece for their portfolio; this means that instead of it just being a summary of my favourite pieces as originally intended it will need to be several which include all submissions. The image will eventually be made (and, with grace, before the next jam).
I won't send this post out as an email so as not to get anyone's hopes up (though if you have announcements for community posts turned on, you may get a ping anyway - sorry about that) - but the project hasn't been abandoned.
Thank you for your patience, and I hope to see you at the end of this very long, dark tunnel.

Edit: sorry, the newsletter link was broken. Itch.io seems to break my site links for some reason.
