What a fun mix of themes! I loved running around listening to the mushrooms! The creature and puzzle sequences were fun, the endings are so charmingly written. Thanks for the game!

Mr Nose Knows! What a spooky guy. The flowers are cute for being cardboard, not so impressed by mr poopy in the bathroom. ): What a scary fellow! And he lets his child starve! Guess I'll have to go check that out next and right his wrongs. I liked puzzly bits, but honestly I liked seeing the other contestants get shot the most. >:)
What an enjoyable game! Every art style is unique and beautiful, full of charm, while still remaining cohesive. I love the very warm CGs, especially in contrast with otherwise gruesome surroundings. I LOVE the character design & their dialogue really fits them. They're unique yet familiar in personalities, and I enjoy them being allowed to play it up. Conceptually super fun!
I played with a semi-serious attempt at guessing who in mind, deducing first it was Father Soul and then going with more of a gut feeling (so much blood) for Sister Folk. In the moment it was a little harder to piece everything together, but in retrospect I think I understand what the clues were meant to be puzzled into place.
I think I would have liked a little more dialogue with the characters, a little more of them interrupting each other with buts and what-ifs (for Folk and Hop especially), but I think I especially would have liked to come back and talk with Father Soul again and really lay into him about the podium and his weirdly silent and uninterested behavior. So sus!
If nothing changed this is honestly such a fun, short visual novel with a beautiful style and design - from the UI elements, to the art itself, all the way over to writing and just the general design and aesthetic of the game itself. VERY cohesive and I really hope to see this team of creators work on more projects in the future, this is SO quirky and we definitely need more by you lot!
!! spoilers!!
I thought it was Father Soul - I was really certain we couldn't investigate the podium because Hip's hand would be there, and he did not provide an alibi. He is also in the perfect position to corrupt not only all of the sisters but the entire town away from God, but maybe demons in this world are less about corruption and more about just brutal murder lol. I had a feeling he might be a red herring for these very reasons - But! I believe we are meant to come to the understanding that it is Sister Folk because;
1: blood is thicker on her side of the room and trails away (maybe Hop would be next?)
2: She takes the gun from us but gives it back, trying to buy us into believing she is innocent under the guise of being 'trustworthy', directly saying that we should know whose side she is now.
3: The alibi she gives us states she's been in the garden all night, but when we investigate the very bloody pot, I believe she goes into further detail about having pulled stuff from the garden into the main room, which would be why there is dirt everywhere.
I couldn't figure out all the endings, but I really enjoyed this experience! I'm surprised it's your first game on Itch!! I am SO hyped to see more from you. I really enjoy the gameplay mechanic of blinking and solving puzzles that way - I'm also super intrigued by the weird cult/paranormal aspect, I feel like the ending(s) I missed MUST have something more about it but, alas! I'll have to try again to find them in the future.
I think my fav part of the game is truly just being able to touch everything and see what my character says / see how they feel about things. It's super fun and I feel very connected, we're intrigued by the same things hehe. Good luck with your Jam!
I really enjoyed how different each level is - I like the dialogue and exposition between the actual exorcism work. I want more, but like the game itself states, sometimes things are left open ended.
I'd definitely play a longer experience with more of a narrative focus on the quiet moments between each job. We get just a tiny, bitter taste of loss/loneliness I want to see explored a little more. Gameplay itself feels fairly fair, but I got really frustrated with the radius that the library demon seemed to be affected by - it did not seem to be only the cursor position, or the radius around the light. Maybe time was also a factor? Not sure. I did overall enjoy that level as well as the others though, they each felt thematically familiar even with very different gameplay. Super fun!Especially love the aesthetic, I really enjoyed the overall premise as well. I feel instead of alternate endings, I would have liked a little more conclusivity from the main ending; right now it kind of just ends, but isn't ambiguous enough with enough small lead up. That said, I did quite like it and would love to see the idea expounded upon in maybe a future remake or update. I totally get that gamejam time limits can squash tons of planned ideas, but this was great!
I quite enjoyed the demo; I like seeing my mental deteriorate while driving around, it's very cute/funny the flashlight 'SAVES'. I really really enjoyed the radio broadcasts with the preacher, I'm excited to see where that goes (plot or otherwise) in the full release. I really enjoyed the models for everything; environments looked good, car was great, enemy(ies) were spooky enough! I wasn't too scared for the most part, I'd like to see more tension/ambient horror come into play. Other thoughts in the video, but I'm looking forward to the full release!
I want more of the scientist!! And I want more of the village that's being talked about.. and I would love to meet Mrs' family!! I imagine it's like a cross between the World of Horror episode based around a funeral/ritual passing & a cute family passing the summer heat with fun (weird) summer (alien-entity-anomaly exclusive) shenanigans! The art and humor of this game are my fav parts. It's SO silly goofy while giving lots of fun peeks at the world/lore! ALSO!! I really loved seeing the additional art of Mrs on your socials, so cute!
I'm not certain if I missed some dialogue or options along the way, but I love the art, and the colored CG/alt end version while playing. The pacing was great, and I'm soooooooooo curious about what's happening between the character(s - if they even are separate entities !!!) - looking forward to more from you! :)
Interesting! Simple, overall easy puzzles. I think I might have largely guessed my way through the steam/pipe area. I am very thankful that the worlds did not reset upon leaving and so low requirements to backtrack and get missing photos. I did like the shopkeep being just a blue silhouette, and the dialogue between us was great.
I'd love to see that touched on in the final game.
What is present - audiologs and images that appear on the desktop - are well made, haunting, and very satisfying to experience. This is a great teaser demo, I'm excited to see how it plays as a full experience & have already wishlisted it. <3
rip worm guide tho, ouch
I wish that there were a couple more choices to be made, or a little more dialogue between each section, just to really build up the world/environment. Thaaaaat said, I absolutely love your art style. The colors/tones used are perfect for capturing the snowy, cold environment! I really love the premise and sequences, the mini games were hard but fun! I look forward to seeing more from you in the future!!
Overall I really enjoyed this game, the environments and overall level design was great, I am very fond of the super saturated colors, and I enjoyed the layout. I'm a big fan of the movie Midsommar, so I kinda knew what to expect coming in; I think if someone wasn't familiar, it would be a stronger experience. The notes and exploring the environment for random bits of lore might me my fav parts. I wish the ending had a little more to it.
Interesting game, I'm fond of the visuals the most, followed by the voice acting. I think there's enough premise here to run a series of interlinked games focusing around Demono Corporation, scientist dad, etc. I feel like this really serves more of a teaser/prequel than a completed experience, but I'm interested in seeing what's next!
I really enjoyed this! For what it gives me alone (story, tone, overall design and aesthetic), it's a great little game. I did not expect things to become so directly sinister, I had anticipated things happening in the hotel we would need to assist with.
I think if the game were to be different, I would have loved there to be more purpose behind where you place each guest, and perhaps a little more involvement with each of the guests or rooms over perhaps a week of time. What's here already is great, I want to keep playing!Honestly seeing the ending had me in a chokehold. I love this artstyle and perspective, especially inside the building. Gorgeous, warm lighting and a lot of fun, unique touches on the animations (going down the ladder for instance). There is nothing to dislike about this experience!! The story was NOT what I expected, AH.
One of my favorite 087 games I've played so far, the pacing is really lovely and I'm a big fan of the narrative choices for relaying story/environmental information. The hair and slowly emerging red sections were very eerie. Sound design was great, I'm glad I played with headphones in the spooky darkness. Thank you for the game, I look forward to more from you!
I loooved the booklet! I'm entranced by the characters, the setting, the overall feeling; visually the building and our apartment is fantastic, I love how warm and messy it feels. The story/setting are GREAT. I can tell there is a lot of love here!!
I would love to see more games in a similar setting or world, I am so intrigued by the Church and what they are up to - as well as the mines. Maybe something of similar length, as a sort of prequel to the substance in the mines? I would love to see the perspective of a member of the church or a factory worker, maybe a resident of the building who didn't return.
Do you post any of your world building anywhere? Or is it just the game and booklet for now? I'd even love short stories in the setting, game or no. :)
I love the constant escalation as we move through the days, I'm very entranced by the visuals and environments. I agree with other comments; the story, the writing, the experience makes you want soo much more. Yet I think it's perfect as-is, too. The posters are great by the way! There is so much the environment can tell you from the very beginning. :)
I wish this was a little longer so I could meander more, and I kinda wish there was more story/notes.. Maybe I missed stuff? But for what is present, I like the environment and I like the introduction a lot! Beating up the eyes was fun. I'd have liked a bit more parkour; the ending is pretty cool and the final CG is sooo cute!! I'm excited to see what you work on next!
The controls were a little janky, but overall I enjoyed this game; the ending feels like a very adult R.L. Stine novel come to life; this house is ABSOLUTELY eating everyone. I really enjoyed the visuals up there, and the idea of taking scary photos while ominous things pop up.. Def interested in the upcoming game!~
