Kişisel ve toplumsal düzeyde hepimizi ilgilendiren açık erişim ve açık bilim çalışmaları Türkiye'de son yıllarda önemli bir ivme kazanmıştır. Ulusal düzeyde gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar ve yürütülen Avrupa Birliği projeleri politika yapıcıların açık erişim ve açık bilim konularına ilgi göstermelerini sağlayarak gelişmeleri tetiklemiştir. Bu gelişmeler 2012'den itibaren düzenlenen konferans, seminer vb. gibi etkinliklerle ve devlet kurum ve kuruluşlarının da sürece dâhil olmasıyla birlikte daha da hızlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada Türkiye'deki farklı kişi, kurum ve kuruluşlar tarafından gerçekleştirilen açık erişim ve açık bilim faaliyetleri literatüre dayanarak incelenmektedir.

This report is a summary of the workshop "University Networks shaping EOSC" which was o... more This report is a summary of the workshop "University Networks shaping EOSC" which was organised with the support of the EOSC Secretariat co-creation funding at the EFTA Palace, Rue Joseph II, 12-16, Brussels, Belgium, from 23-24 January 2020. The organisers gathered 35 participants from the five university networks EUA, The Guild, CESAER, LERU and the Coimbra Group as well as representatives from the Swiss Universities and the Turkish Universities, experts from the EOSC Governance Boards, experts from E-IRG and ESFRI, members of EC staff (Open Science Unit) in order to discuss EOSC building processes. The main goal was to voice the needs of researchers and research institutions with a focus on the main topics a) How will EOSC be governed and funded after 2020?, b) User engagement referring to organisations, c) Networking and collaborations.

Right away, in one week, over 200 users downloaded the toolbar. The library website also offers RSS and a blog for library information. As Gültekin is a big fan of the Library Connect Newsletter, he happily agreed to this interview focusing on the new toolbar.

The Open Access movement is a social movement in academia, dedicated to the principle of open acc... more The Open Access movement is a social movement in academia, dedicated to the principle of open access - to information - sharing for the common good and is being supported by many scientists, publishers, and researchers in the world, today. The software that is used to operate the institutional archive systems which are the basis of the Open Access, are divided into two forms of some free open source software and paid package programs which were developed by some corporates. DSpace, whose first version was presented to use in 2002, is an open source archive software which was developed with the co-operation of Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Hewlett Packard and is being used by more than 1.360 institutions all over the world as of November, 2012. The aim of this study is to highlight the features of the DSpace institutional archive software and its contributions to the open access initiatives by emphasizing the open access and institutional archive.
