Noo bc this really reminded me of my camp expirence and the people I created bonds with at camp. It's exactly how you worded it out to be. It's a really in the moment feeling that never seems to last outside of camp. I think you can look back on all your camp bonds and think of the "what could've been" question. It's this kind of pain of regretting and not being able to bring yourself to reconnect because it'll never be the same (?) It's like reuniting with an old friend who you've lost contact with. Nothing is ever the same and I think that's the most painful part.
