It’s like people have forgotten what generosity is.

It’s so nice being on tumblr because you don’t even have to make your own post but people would still follow you anyways if you’re good at rebloging posts they like

Luigi Mangione could be getting the death penalty…

This man is innocent, his appearance and build doesn’t match that of the killers, the only “motive” he had was a convenient written confession showing that he supposedly viewed healthcare companies as “parasitic” and too expensive (which does somewhat contradict the actual killers actions) he had said note and the murder weapon conveniently on him while living his ordinary life, the killer held the gun in his right hand while Luigi is left-handed, Luigi and the Killer were potentially seen simultaneously, they wore slightly different coats.

The NYPD KNOW these are different people, they know the evidence is lacking, this isn’t a mistaken identity, it’s framing, they are trying to make themself appear to still be control by catching this man, humiliating him, killing him, when they know full well that the person they are prosecuting ISNT EVEN THE RIGHT GUY! This is an injustice! This is not a fair trial! This is downright tyranny!

They confiscated his bag at the mcdonald’s, took it out of everyone’s sight, unpacked it and repacked it, and THEN took it down to the station and wow there was a manifesto in there that he was just carrying around in daily life for some reason

Definitely the sort of thing that the Bag Of Monopoly Money Guy would be carrying to McDonald’s

You know, with all the trouble over the live action Snow White remake and how long it’s actually taken to make it, it would have been the perfect opportunity for another studio to make a film about Adriana Caselotti, who voiced Snow White but wasn’t even told she was working on a full length film and only realised it at the premiere, was paid only $970 (roughly $21,217 in 2024) for the job, wasn’t credited for the role and basically had her career in films ruined before it even started, because dear old Walt Disney refused to let her take other roles: ‘I’m sorry, but that voice can’t be used anywhere. I don’t want to spoil the illusion of Snow White.’

The frozen, confused smile on my face. Reading this was a horrifying moment. Take it away.

fictionadventurer:

One major mistake people make when looking at Snow White is assuming that they were trying to create a Disney Princess role model for little girls to emulate, when actually they were just trying their darndest to create an animated character that audiences would care about.

When we see pure and innocent Snow White being mistreated by her stepmother and later driven into exile, it’s supposed to activate parental instincts that make us want to protect her. It shouldn’t matter if she doesn’t do anything to save herself, because she shouldn’t have to. We’re supposed to feel the injustice of it, feel sad and angry that she’s treated this way, fear that she’s going to come to harm. We’re not supposed to want to be her, we’re supposed to love her, and want to see her get the love she deserves, so we remain invested for the entire runtime of this 80-minute cartoon that they’re afraid audiences won’t sit through. That’s what mattered to the story while they were making it, so applying Disney Princess expectations is ridiculous.

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset

  • the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
  • taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
  • at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
  • ‘middle age’ is typically considered to be between 45-65
  • it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
  • it’s wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
  • you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
  • young doesn’t mean peaked. you’re inexperienced in your 20s! you’re still learning and practicing! you’re developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
  • there are a million things to do in the world, and they don’t vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big

What the media won’t show

It’s actually pretty nuts how there is no real mass media coverage of the protests that are happening all over the US. It demonstrates fairly conclusively that the unlawful activities at the White House aren’t just limited to Trump. There’s a lot of wealthy people in powerful positions in the US and around the world helping to support the dismantling of the US federal government.
