so i’m currently working at a law firm and the other day one of the attorneys was talking to me and he mentioned that he’s “not very confrontational” and i was like you are?? a lawyer???
and he said “yeah but in court there are rules. i can argue with some shmuck in a suit in front of a judge no problem, but when i leave the courthouse and go home i’m not gonna argue with my wife about dinner. there are no rules in our kitchen. i would die.”
i get more and more pissed thinking about the endless possibilities of sam and dean’s psychotic, irrational, erotic, codependent relationship that we could have had if spn was an adult rated show. Imagine if HBO had gotten a hold of Kripke’s script?
Everything would be intensified; the angst, the unhealthy obsession, the love, the gothic, incestuous themes. the GORE.
I need to see the suicide attempts, the mean and cruel arguments, the uncomfortable “i feel like i should look away?” closeness of the brothers. And the cursing ofc, i can’t stand the constant replacement of the word fuck with “friggen”.
We truly could have seen so much more depth and personality in their characters, but hey that’s what fanfics are for right?
i totally believe john winchester would be a chainsmoker. that man is highly stressed, and although he does get drunk pretty often, it’s still not often enough… so yea, i absolutely think he’d go through at least a pack a day. he’d smoke while driving, window cracked open, with his kids asleep in the backseat…
and sam would start pestering him about it as soon as he’s old enough to learn about the dangers of smoking in school, and dean would start stealing cigarettes at 14 bc he wants to be cool like his daddy and 10 year old sam would be so fucking pissed at him lol
fast-forward to when dean drags sam back from stanford, and he finds out sam smokes now? oh, he’s livid. who said he could smoke ?? sammy knows better than that !! dean’s such a hypocrite, it’d be hilarious to watch
and like, sam only picked that smoking habit at stanford bc he missed his family, and the smell reminded him of them :(
and u know what would be even funnier? sam actually likes smoking. like, genuinely enjoys it. meanwhile, dean? he kinda hates it, always has. he only ever did it to look cool, to be like john.
so when he finds out that sam, of all people, is not only smoking but actually enjoying it? it would drive him insane.

Y’all. I’ve already seen a few people saying the fight choreography needs work in this episode but they are all WRONG.
Obi-Wan is either really sloppy in this episode or he’s overly perfect. He takes so long to go back to ready position he does a little flip while his feet take the time. He’s legit going step by step.
Y’know what he’s doing? He’s practicing.
He’s literally training to use a lightsaber again. You can SEE him getting back into the groove. Because he knows he’s gonna have to fight Vader again (maybe he doesn’t know how soon it’s gonna be but now that he knows Anakin’s alive I’m sure he understands a fight is down the road).
HE IS PRACTICING THE STEPS. YOU CAN SEE HIM DO IT. The way he deflects the blaster bolts too. He’s so FOCUSED. In the past he just did it without second thought but he has to relearn. Every single blaster bolt required a movement and thought you could just tell from the way he held himself.
The choreography and acting in this episode was superb that is all.
to be honest there has never been a fictional character i’ve actually wanted to date. like. i want them to date each other. i don’t want myself as a person to be involved in this scenario whatsoever. what would i add to this narratively? what’s my thematic purpose in the narrative? immersion breaking.
obsessed with characters who were written for one another. like, what do you mean the reason for my existence is to be by your side? what do you mean our divine purpose is to belong to one another, for better or worse?
