I was wondering if you don't mind me asking why you undercharge or discount your commissions so much?
aw, i don’t consider my commissions undercharged or discounted.
i don’t want anyone who commissions me to feel like they’re just getting discounted stuff. i sell my art at $20 because it’s the price i feel the most comfortable with doing commissions at.
and hey, $20 goes a really long way? a lot of people can’t afford things rn and that $20 isn’t so small to them. nor is it small to me! it’s helped me out a bunch. i’m glad people feel like they can come to me for a picture that’s more affordable, but i hope they don’t think they’re sacrificing quality. i am an amateur artist, but i do my best to give them something they will love!
i am ofc flattered when people tell me i should raise prices and i have had kind people give me generous tips. i will never forget those people! but i just want everyone to know that i am comfortable with my prices as they are.
every person who opens commissions should price their work at whatever is the most reasonable and comfortable to them. and that’s up to the artist to determine.
such a strange education
reupload! because i would like to credit the artist that the the pose and concept was inspired by. they have given me permission to share. you can find them here, please look at their works!
(i forgot this isn’t twitter and no one would see if i give the credit in a reblog LOL)
