FAQ

What is a zine?
A zine is an unofficial fanmade publication that usually includes illustrations and written works.
What is the theme of this zine?
We have chosen to feature many different cuisines, with recipes pitched by our wonderful chef and brought to life by our artists.
The cookbook will contain step-by-step recipes, each accompanied by an illustration featuring Jason Todd and Tim Drake. Recipes are divided into four sections: appetizers, entrees (main dishes), desserts, and drinks. Can I apply for this zine?
Contributor applications were held during December 2024, through the mod team’s social media accounts. As a cookbook is slightly more unconventional than a regular zine, our team wanted to assess whether there was enough interest in participation to make this project a reality – fortunately, responses were very positive, so here we are!
As of now, all chef and artist positions have been filled. We’ve gathered together an amazing team, and we’re all excited to show you our work! Stay tuned for contributor spotlights in the upcoming months. Is there going to be an NSFW volume?
Due to the nature of the zine, there will only be an SFW volume.
What format will this zine take?
This will be physical A5-size zine (which will also be available in digital form). We will also be offering a variety of physical and digital merch, such as acrylic charms, prints, emotes, etc.
What charity will you be supporting with this zine?
After careful deliberation, our team has decided to support the World Central Kitchen. They’ve outlined their values on their website is as follows:
Food is essential to life every single day, all over the world—and it is more important than ever in a crisis. Not only is a thoughtful, freshly prepared meal one less thing someone has to worry about in the wake of a disaster, it is a reminder that you are not alone, someone is thinking about you, and someone cares. Food has the power to be the nourishment and hope we need to pick ourselves back up in the darkest times. This zine believes in the power we have to help other people. We hope to bring attention to the issue of world hunger and empower us fans to help in our own ways.
