2025 FAQ
JayTim Week 2025: I Choose Hue FAQ
Does the color prompt have to be present as a color?
Nope! One of the brilliant things about colors is that they have a lot of history and meaning. Choose what works best for you and the vision you want to achieve.
Can you give us an example?
Of course! While you can certainly take a literal view of the prompt and draw a piece of JayTim fanart using only shades of orange, a story about Jason and Tim sharing an orange would also work, as would a JayTim-themed moodboard that consists of orangeish pictures, or curated reclist of fics that you feel exemplify the color.
Do I have to post something for each day?
You do not have to post something for each day to participate! You can do any number of days you like. No pressure, we’re all here to have fun.
(Of course, if you do want to post every day, we’ll be delighted! 😉)
What if I want to participate, but I don’t like any of the prompts?
Day Four is a Free Day, which means that you can post anything you like and still have it count as participating in the event! We’ll be happy to share your work around too.
What kind of works do you accept?
All kinds of fanworks are acceptable! Fanfic, fanart, graphics, videos… The sky is the limit.
Our only exception is that we will not accept stolen work. Please do not repost other people’s creations!
Is this event only for works that feature top!Jason with bottom!Tim?
Nope! This is a celebration of Tim Drake and Jason Todd together with no regard to who tops or bottoms—you can Tim top, you can have both Jason and Tim bottom, you can have them switch it up and trade off, you can forgo any mention of topping and bottoming entirely. The event is called JayTim Week because “JayTim and/or TimJay Week” would be a bit awkward (and make for a pretty long blog name)!
Are NSFW submissions allowed?
Yes! Please tag your works accordingly using the “nsfw” or “nsft” hashtags to make sure that people can avoid viewing this content if they want to. We also ask that you please tag content that could make people uncomfortable, such as specific kinks or common triggering content.
Can my work have side ships?
Side ships are welcome. If you want to throw in a little BatCat, DickDami, RoyKori, StephCass, etc. that is perfectly fine.
Please note that we have zero tolerance for ship bashing. We want to keep this blog a safe haven for the shippers and do not condone ship wars or negativity toward other ships. Please just focus on the boys and show your appreciation for our ship!
Do I have to post on the day itself? What happens if I miss the deadline?
We strongly encourage people to post their work on the relevant day, but don’t panic if you’re a bit late! We’ll keep posting entries related to the prior days during the week itself. We will also be monitoring the hashtag for a while after the end of the event to keep spreading everyone’s works.
How can I ensure that my post will get reblogged by the event blog?
When you post, please tag your work(s) with the hashtag #jaytimweek2025. You can add any other variation (“#Jay Tim Week 2025,” “#JayTim Week 2025,” “#TimJay Week 2025,” etc.) that you want for your own sorting, but the mods will mainly be monitoring #jaytimweek2025, so if you want us to see and reblog your work, please be sure to add this tag!
Can I follow the event on any other social media platforms?
We have a Bluesky account at https://bsky.app/profile/jaytimweek.bsky.social and we encourage you to follow and participate in the event on that platform if you’re active there. Like on Tumblr, please make sure to tag your posts with #jaytimweek2025 so we don’t miss them in order to reblog and share with the rest of the community.
I have another question, can you help?
Please feel free to reach out to us via our Ask Box, and one of the mods will get to it as soon as possible!
