I just realize that it’s Hayao Miyazaki’s birthday so here’s some Kiki sketches that I made for Drawtober 2022 to celebrate his birthday.

Happy Birthay, Mri Miyazaki.

Due to the discourse surrounding the use of AI and Studio Ghibli, I felt it was important to share my own Studio Ghibli art that I made myself (no AI, no ChatGPT and no strings attached)

Hayao Miyazaki and Ghibli’s creations were meant to inspire the best of humanity and were meant to challenge social norms.

So when I see the current Administration, companies and people use AI to generate images in that style– I think back to what Miyazaki said and how it’s an assault on life itself.
