💬 . . . warnings : reader’s in the middle of a breakdown, bad grammar / writing, barely any dialogue used.
💬 . . . winter’s note : this is my first ever scenario so i’m really nervous to post it. aha also i haven’t written properly for over a year so my writing is very crusty :( sorry about the badly written scenario it was kinda written when i really really needed comfort :]
jungwon’s heart broke at the sight of you curled up on the floor of your dimly lit room. your nose a little snotty as you cried your eyes out.
it had been 20 mins since he left you alone in your room to go take a shower. everything seemed fine at dinner and up until the moment he left you. he didn’t notice anything strange in your behaviour nor did you mention anything about a bad day.
you had yet to notice him standing at the door of your bedroom with a frowny face replacing the bright smile he has every time you both are together.
he sighed and came over to sit down next to you, making you look up from your arms. partially horrified that he of all people had caught you crying.
still having no idea, jungwon just chose to pull you closer and wrap his arms around you.
this action just caused you to heave out heavier sobs, feeling guilty he had to deal with this after a long day at work. right as you opened your mouth to apologise, he gently shaked his head pulling you closer than you already were and tightening his hold on you almost like you would break if he let go.
deciding to not say a word jungwon just continued holding you like it was the end of the world. his hoodie starting to get damp in the area your face was buried in, but he could care less. your wellbeing was far more important to him.
he didn’t say a word as you continued crying, he didn’t need to say anything. his warm embrace expressing everything he wanted to say: you are safe, protected and most importantly loved.
he gently rocked your bodies side to side and only started humming a melody once he felt your breathing even out. his soothing voice calming you down.
after a few more moments, you lifted your head from his neck. his face (and heart) falls even more at the sight of your tear stained cheeks and lips present in a gloomy frown instead of the angelic smile he usually gets. oh the smile he absolutely adore. jungwon would literally move mountains just to catch a glimpse of it.
cupping your face in between his palms, as he tenderly brushed away the tears using the pads of his thumbs. this was new to him. you were always a pillar of strength for him, he never thought he would have to watch you having a breakdown.
“i love you,” he whispered. pressing a gentle, soft kiss to your lips further signaling he meant it. “i love you so so much” he mumbled after pulling away and resting his forehead on yours.
this caused your eyes to fill up w tears again but contrary to a little while back it was because of the overwhelming love you felt for the boy sitting in front of you.
jungwon always knew just what to say. you knew you could go to him whenever you wanted. he is your safe space, your someone you can always count on. he is your home and your entire world.
and you are his.
