Barton fracture - Comminuted fracture of the distal radius extending to involve the articular surface with dorsal angulation of the fractured segment.

Distal radius fractures represent a quarter of all fractures seen clinically. They occur through the distal metaphysis of the radius, with or without articular surface involvement.
