In vitro fertilization process

In vitro fertilization (IVF) is a medical procedure that helps couples who struggle with infertility to conceive a child. During the IVF process, eggs are retrieved from a woman’s ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory.

Embryo devolopment is a complex process that starts from birth of an oocyte and ends in forming a complete blastocyst that implants in the inner wall of uterus for a successfully PREGANACY. It involves the formation of oocyte from a follicle, fusion with a spermatozoa, forming a zygote, and then finally a multicellular blastocysts. The whole embryo devolopment process can be well lobserved under microscope in in vitro fertilization or in intra cytoplasmic sperm injection cycle.
