These spooky mummy eyes are such a fun Halloween project! I saw a version of this project online and just had to recreate it. The oil pastels are a bit messy but this is a no-paint project that can be completed in one art session.

This jack-o-lantern lesson can be used with any grade level and the results are so much fun. With Halloween being one my students’ favorite times of year, I am always coming up with new Halloween art ideas. I have taught Halloween lessons including cute monsters, witches, haunted houses, spooky cats and pumpkins all while still teaching students new art vocabulary or introducing them to new art techniques. These chalk pastel ghosts were a lesson in drapery. We worked on large 26x18 in sheets of paper, rendering the folds of a sheet over a basketball perched on a stool! These spooky ghosts were done by kids ages 10-14 at Art Spot Studio.
