Reaching behind your back requires that you have enough internal rotation. This motion commonly  becomes tight with shoulder injuries and surgeries. If you can’t reach behind your back or you can reach higher with one hand than the other, you may need to work on your internal rotation.

This stretch is a great way to work on flexibility. Once you improve your flexibility, then you can start working on strength and mobility.

Try holding for 5-15 seconds and repeat 3-5 times.
