The broadhead catfish (Clarias Macrocepalus) is an economically important air-breathing catfish native to Southeast Asia. The fish is farmed in ponds for food in countries such as Thailand and the Philippines. However, native populations are now threatened with extinction due to human activity and introgression through crossing with escaped aquaculture hybrids. In Thailand, both this fish and the walking catfish (Clarias batrachus) are known as Phra Druk.
