// Ah thank you very kindly. I really love challenges like that so I do them often to keep myself in check, just not often that intense. Deadlines my beloved. As for the narrative, I’m not quite satisfied with it as I’m not usually one that partakes in those types of tropes(?) But it seemed fun and silly for what was suppose to be a simple one shot comic challenge… But then I got attached.
It was a bit of a challenge to figure out how to proceed forward, but what I came up with satisfies me and my views of these characters so I look forward to sharing my interpretations with others. I hope to start sharing ACT 2 soon-ish… Hopefully.

//Â This comic was a challenge I took on to test if I could keep with a very strenuous deadline. 20 pages in one week. It was both difficult and rewarding learning what I could and could not do. Learning to sacrifice quality for quantity in order to meet the ridiculous deadline that eventually took a toll on me physically. I also learned what was the most important aspects for me in comic making and learning to either lean into it or omit it all together.
Such a fascinating and physically demanding challenge that while gave me so much self doubt during the process, has taught me to be a better story teller. What I can get done in just a little over two weeks has been a self-justifying journey. The total time period of scripting, thumbnailing, linearting, coloring, and lettering was 2 and a half weeks. I got all the line work done in 6 days and it’s what explains the inconsistency and poor shape choices. No time to revise.
I will never do something like this again.

// I’m not sure if this answer will be helpful, but I love drawing backgrounds more than characters so it comes to me very easily. I also draw backgrounds professionally for games and animation. I always suggest if those who wish to get better at them, find the kind of background you like to draw first. Interiors, exteriors, cityscapes, landscapes, etc. Do you like geometric or organic sightlines? Find what clicks and the rest will follow with time. For me, it was building interiors :3
