note: This is just a short preview for AiW pt3. I know I left things on a terrible cliffhanger a few months ago. Life got extremely and unexpectedly hectic, but things are starting to get a little bit better, and I hope to get the full chapter out next month. Also, I appreciate everyone who has sent me messages during this time. I will eventually answer all of them, I promise. And I hope anyone who liked AiW enjoys this snippet!

Leave or stay? Leave or stay? Leave or stay? The decision should have been harder, or at the very least leaving should have been an option that was considered more heavily. After all, there was technically nothing wrong with this situation. This was his apartment and you weren’t supposed to be moving in for a few days, so in theory this was perfectly understandable — But plans change.

Classes get cancelled. Move in dates get pushed up. You walk in on your ex-boyfriend turned current fake boyfriend mid-fuck. So yeah, leaving was probably the more appropriate response… But the declaration of “Well, honey, I’m home now,” forced its way past your lips regardless; the door closing behind you and marking your choice to stay.

The four words that were said to you all of those months ago, wrapped in the static of cellphone towers that were trying to connect the two of you from across oceans. You remembered choking out a broken and fragmented, “W-what did you say?” Because for some reason you couldn’t stop yourself from needing to hear the words again even though you registered them perfectly the first time. Every single syllable had already embedded itself inside of your mind, and that sentiment still rang true even now, almost two months later.

ah, i really don’t want to add fire to this, but i guess i’ll explain it so that i don’t have see a fandom war explode on my dash. 

ok so during exo’s press conference for ex’act they played some snippets of their upcoming album songs, and THIS is the one that caught my attention (also i really liked it, i’m ready y’all).

Now if you’re a bts fan you’ll know the second you press play that it sounds exactly like bts’ Dead Leaves. I was actually really surprised when i heard it too, but i want to make sure that there aren’t a swarm of armys who flood the exo tag saying they’re “copying” bts or whatever.

The recognizable part of Dead Leaves that you can also clearly hear in the exo snippet, is actually sampled from a song that came out BEFORE Dead Leaves, and it’s called Deadroses by Blackbear. 

so there you go, both exo and bts sampled the song from blackbear, so you can’t yell at exo without also yelling at bts. 

NOW LET’S JUST BE HAPPY FANDOMS, AND ENJOY EACH OTHER’S COMPANY AND AMAZING MUSIC… i know that’s not gonna happen, but worth a shot lol

i see that you've been reblogging a lot of exo stuff recently (nothing wrong with that) i just didn't know you liked them so much. have you see the hate they've been getting from armys lately though??

bro i love exo so much it’s not even funny, and obviously bts is my bias group, but I CANNOT STAND HOW ARMYS ARE ACTING TOWARDS EXO. (im sorry for this slight rant, but it just pisses me off, and note i understand that it isn’t ALL bts fans acting this way)

i think this hate that SOME bts fans are sending towards exo stems from -if i’m honest- jealousy. like yes i love bts, but i’m not blind, i clearly know how much more popular exo is, and of course i wish bts could be at the top of charts from pre-orders alone, or have their TEASERS (not even MVs) reach almost two million views in a day, but they don’t, and i’m fine w that. but i’m not gonna send hate to a group that works so hard, and deserves ALL of their recognition. 

exo gets flack for a lot of things that’re completely unfair, especially from armys. for one chanyeol’s rapping. out of all idol rappers i think he gets the most hate, even though comparatively to most other idol rappers he isn’t any worse. like you guys are comparing him to people like namjoon and zico who WANTED to be rappers, chanyeol just got thrust into being a rapper, and the only reason people hate on him is bc exo is popular. 

secondly i see soooooo many bts fans rag on the fact that exo lip syncs. ok well for one they don’t really get input on that type of thing, and secondly if i’m being completely honest, exo are technically better vocalists than bts. people might bitch that i said that, but it’s true (but of course this is just imo), if you need an example please watch THIS video (specifically 2:38, 3:42, and 4:36 like fucking slay me bro) and so honestly who cares if they lip sync when you know they sound like that

but the main thing is, people are saying that exo is “copying” bts, like guys please stop. bts did not invent the concept of interpretive MVs, so stop hating on any group that wants to try something that isn’t dancing in a box… but tbh exo might dance in a box - but you get my point lol.

i know i went on a bit of a tangent, but guys they work really hard. exo fans have to deal w a lot of things, like members leaving or getting mistreated so just let them be happy.
