I post about what I like: - crafting & repair -plants & wildlife (especially those from my home region), -languages (especially 한국어 & languages of the Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island) - other stuff (kdrama, grad school, politics, shitposts, etc). I'm an adult white Canadian who is doing their best. I follow people who post long haired black tabbies like my profile pic (my kitty, 호랑)

I have 2 side blogs:

1. Hangukndrama : for kdrama content primarily. Also some music & langblr content. I only tag my original posts. I sometimes post spoilers close to air dates (I start posting immediately after I watch)

2. Thingsivebeenblazed : I reblog every blazed post I see. I plan to do a research project or compile some stats about this eventually. But if you want to see what people have been blazing, give it a scroll.

“Colonialism almost never exploits the entire country. It is content with extracting natural resources and exporting them to the metropolitan industries thereby enabling a specific sector to grow relatively wealthy, while the rest of the colony continues, or rather sinks, into underdevelopment and poverty.”

— Frantz Fanon, The Wretched of the Earth

Oooof. I know I will do it again, but i think it may be a long while before i do another piece with 36x4 and 68x8 individual leaves with 4 or 6 colors each.

butbutbut... it came out so good!

the pattern started out as kaprifolie, but i tinkered with it. (if you really want the chart to make it like this, i will share it, but it's verrrrrrrry rudimentary.)

it's interesting to me how sex workers are not considered an important part of pride history & the lgbt+ community unless the sex worker aspect of their identity is completely erased, and at the same time, every single pride, i see posts go around reminding people that leather daddies & ungendered kinksters should be credited and celebrated for protecting & cultivating pride as we knew it before it became the sanitized corporate holiday that it is today.

marsha p. johnson was a sex worker. sylvia rivera was a sex worker. brenda howard (who organized the first pride parade) was a sex worker. why can we only address the sanitization of pride when it comes to men's sex lives? why can't we talk about how working class women in the sex trade are continually ostracized from & caricatured by the community we helped create?

it's crazy that you used to be able to look up specific clips from a tv show on youtube. now regardless of your search terms you get 6 unrelated promo reels from the show's official account, 6 unrelated clips of literally anything else youtube thinks you might click on, 6 unrelated promo reels from the network's official account, 6 more completely arbitrary recommendations, 6 show trailers and publicity videos of the actors by content mills called 'pop glutton' and 'comedy chunk' and finally raw gameplay footage of a mobile freemium slots game and a video essay called Liberals Can't Belive It: 10 Times Hitler Was Shockingly Woke

you know the internet is dying when you can't even search glup shitto funniest moments and find a single relevant result

our data wizards crunched the numbers, and they discovered something truly incredible: users spend up to 10x longer on the website when they can't find what the fuck they came looking for
