Hey! I have a question for you. I used one of your posts as a pose reference for a drawing of mine. Is it alright with you if I post it? Would you like to be credited if I do? Thanks!
id love credit. i put a lot of thinking into my poses, thank you!
none of the drawings here are referenced and that’s just to forewarn anyone from studying too closely or you’ll probably pick up the bad habits im still trying to break lol
if you're feeling powerless right now—and god knows I am—here's a reminder you can donate to the National Network of Abortion Funds, the Trans Law Center, Gaza Soup Kitchen, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and hundreds of other charities that will work to mitigate the damage that has been and will continue to be inflicted
life continues. we still have the capacity to do good, important work. that matters
handala حنظلة
From approximately 1975 through 1987 Naji Al-Ali created cartoons that depict the complexities of the plight of Palestinian refugees. These cartoons are still relevant today and Handala, the refugee child who is present in every cartoon, remains a potent symbol of the struggle of the Palestinian people for justice and self-determination.
Naji Al-Ali wrote( Handala was born ten years old, and he will always be ten years old. At that age, I left my homeland, and when he returns, Handala will still be ten, and then he will start growing up. The laws of nature do not apply to him. He is unique. Things will become normal again when the homeland returns.)
“This character was born to survive. I will continue within him even after I die.”
Naji al-Ali, assassinated august 29th, 1987.
hi friends
as we boycott in support of palestine, here is a little reminder of the companies that specifically supported israel in their crimes against palestine (taken from the al jazeera website)
do as much as you are able to during the boycott, but if you need essentials or need to go to work to support yourself, that is okay! anything helps and boycotting these companies specifically is great because of their direct role in the violence against people in gaza
